Any ideas for quick, cheap & easy meals for my family during our Disneyland trip?
Sunday, September 11th, 2011We are planning a Disneyland vacation this year. Since we have a family of 7 & eating out every meal would be WAY too expensive, we have decided to stay in suite with a full kitchen and prepare our own food. I have 3 picky eaters, a tight budget, and not alot of time for cooking (we don’t want to miss much time at Disneyland). We are planning on having breakfast before we leave each morning, packing a lunch of some sort to eat in the picnic area outside the park, and will be going back to the hotel to have dinner before returning to the park in the evening. We will be there for 8 days. Any meal ideas???
We are driving our own vehicle.

Does anyone have any travel agent advice?
Saturday, September 10th, 2011Due to a mistake/stupidity on my part, my balance payment of my holiday with Thomson is due a week before i get paid.I called Thomson to explain and was told they could give me 24 hours after the due date, but after that they would cancel my booking.I’m now in the process of trying to get help with paying this holiday but in the worst case scenario and i can’t pay on due date,does anyone know if Thomson may be flexible and give me the extra week as i don’t have a problem paying then?

What would you do? Go on a mini vacation, pay off some debt, or save for a big vacation?
Friday, September 9th, 2011I have a three day weekend coming up. My fiance, daughter (she’s 2) and I haven’t been out of town in forever. So here are my options:
#1 – go to Austin, TX and just take it easy, go to pachildren’schildren’s museum, and eat for a few days. we can stay at my dad’s place there for free so we will only pay for gas, food, and entertainment.
#2 – stay home and put the money we would spend on vacation towards a credit card bill, put a little in savings, and get a haircut! hopefully we will be able to use our tax refund to take a little trip this summer.
#3 – put what we would spend on the vacation to austin away to save for a disneyland vacation in a year or so when our daughter is a little older.
The reason this stresses me out is because I know it would be good for my family to get out of town and spend time together. BUT I hate wasting money when we need to be paying off debt and saving for a house etc. What would you do and why?

Who here has never been to Disneyland?

I was supposed to go back in 2005 but I did not have a passport at the time. I brought it up a few times later and my parents say I’m too old for it. I’m 17 by the way. They also say it’s all old and run down. They went there back in 1990 I think.
Anyways, I still have the Disneyland vacation videotape from 10 years ago XD Is there anyone here who hasn’t been there? And what is it like there? I really want to go there someday

When is the absolute best time to visit Disneyland (CA) in order to avoid crowds and lines?
Thursday, September 1st, 2011First hand experience? I have two young girls and waiting in line wouldn’t be fun. My good friend went this past summer and he said some of the lines were THREE HOURS – that is hell, not a vacation! Waiting three hours for a three minute ride is a total waste – IMHO.
When is the best time of the year (Month and day of week) in order to avoid crowds?

Thursday, September 1st, 2011Ok, well I have NEVER been on an airplane. I’m 16, and this summer I’m going to Costa Rica with spanish teachers, and then after I get back from that 2 week trip, I’m flying to Florida BY myself to be a nanny for about a month…I’m so nervous!!
Any advice about air travel? And more advice about when I go by myself? I’m way scared…also, what to pack? Can you bring a pillow and blanket with you on the plane?

Our Disneyland Summer Vacation in Anaheim, CA (June 26-30, 2011) Video Part 7
Monday, August 29th, 2011Watch in 480p (high quality). In this 7th video, it first shows you us riding the Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Resue ride. I filmed most of the ride here. Then at 2:39, it shows the entrance to a very cool arcade! It was already around 8 pm and we were about to go watch the fireworks back at Disneyland. However, we were glued to the elecTRONica at the Hollywood Pictures Backlot. Then at 4:00 in the video, we made it back to Disneyland to view the “Magical, A Fireworks Spectacular” show. We got a good view of the show on Main Street USA It shows the finale/climax of the show at 5:10 in the video. It was truly magical and beautiful! To be honest, when you go to Disneyland, especially during the fireworks displays, you forget your ordinary life back home It was very crowded after the fireworks, you can’t even see the road of Main Street, especially at 6:09 in the video! We wanted to go back to Adventureland to ride more rides but the Disneyland Railroad was closed until 10:30 probably due to the fireworks. Then at 7:32 in the video, it shows us going to ride the Indiana Jones ride once again. After that, it was followed by the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. I got to take some footage of the ride. So sit back and enjoy the ride This evening was the latest we went home. It was already 12:32 am and we just got on the shuttle to go back to our hotel. All of us were beat from this long and fun day! It shows our exhaustion at about 15:55 in the video. I almost fell …

Miss America 2008 at Planet Hollywood in LV. Need travel advice.?
Friday, August 26th, 2011My daughter is a contestant in the Miss America 2008 competition. It will take place in Jan. in Las Vegas at the Planet Hollywood Resort.
Can someone give me advice on where to stay? I know that PH is very expensive. I will be there for 8 nights and I will be traveling with children and 2 other adults. My budget is limited as well.
Tips on what to do during the day would be great also. And advice on family shows too.

I need help on disneyland and hotel costs.?
Sunday, August 21st, 2011Me and my boyfriend are planning on a little disneyland vacation for about 2 days for our 2 year anniversary. We’re planning on going to disneyland and disney california this coming April, we live by san diego, close to camp pendelton so gas won’t be such a problem.
But anyway I have a militray discount on the tickets and I will be buying them on base at the ITT store but I haven’t been there to know how much two tickets for both theme parks would cost. And we also need a hotel room to stay in for just one night, how much would a good and acceptable hotel room cost? And we also need money for dining and entertainment when we get there? How much would everything be?
(Please answer only if your sure about it or if your almost sure. Thank you.)
yea it’s going to be on a weekday and we’re most likely going to eat inside the park for both lunch and dinner and we will also want souvenirs from both stores and rides.

Travel advice for someone who loves adventure!
Saturday, August 20th, 2011So the whole point is there is no plan, I get a one way ticket to England (don’t ask, but I’ve always wanted to travel that area) Then I don’t really care where I go as long as it is fun and adventurous! If you have cool suggestions that would be great. This trip should take a year at least and knowing me, I probably won’t have enough money to fly everywhere so mostly it will be me and my backpack (which is totally exiting if you want my opinion!) I’ve been to most of Europe and Northern India which was great and I totally recomend it. So, by this over exited analisis of my previous travel experience, where do you think I should go?
