I am staying at this hotel for 2 nights in December in Prague.
Do you know of cool places that I go to around there during the day?
Park Inn Hotel Prague
Svobodova 1961/1
Prague 128 00
Czech Republic
Also, how will I get from the airport to the hotel? Is a taxi cheap?
and I need to go to Pec pod Sněžkou. What is the best way from Prague.
Thanks so much
Annie
Thanks for your advice guys! I can’t wait!

1Hello from Prague Annie,
From the airport don’t take bust number 100 (this makes nonsense, this is a longer trip)
In front of the arrivals hall at the airport, you will see the bus stop (I mean the public transport one), you have to buy a ticket from the machine which is in the bus stop itself, then you jump into Bus number 119 (every 10 minutes) and you get off in Dejvicka stop, from Dejvicka and with the same ticket you take the metro to Karlovo Namesti and get off from direction Palackeho Namesti which is not far away from your hotel Park Inn, you can even walk if you want.
Avoid taxis, you can use this reliable and affordable transfer service: http://kingwenceslas.co.uk/

Here is another link for the public transport info: http://www.apartmentplan.cz/prague-publi…
And here you can learn about fares in Prague: http://www.dpp.cz/en/fares-in-prague/
To reach Pec pod Sněžkou, from your hotel, take the metro from Karlovo Namesti to Cerny Most and then the bus which takes 3 hours 5 min for distance 160 km at the price of 178 CZK.
To find all bus/train connections, use this server: idos.cz
And finally try to explore the historical center with its Old Town Square, Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, the Lesser Town and the Wenceslas Square . Here is a detailed article with photos of Prague’s top 10 places to visit: http://blog.kingwenceslas.co.uk/pragues-places-visit/
Good luck!

2From the airport take the 100 bus to metro station ‘Zlicin’, line B (also known as the ‘yellow line’), direct connection to Karlovo namesti station, and than 5 minute walk. Taxis are not cheap. By public transport the trip will cost 1 euro. By taxi it will cost around 15 euros (if you don’t get ripped off).
As for cool things to do, it really depends on you. I would suggest going to the castle and DOX contemporary art gallery http://www.doxprague.org/
The most simple way of getting to Pec seems to be from the bus terminal at Cerny Most, which is at the end of metro line B. There is a direct bus from there to Pec. It takes just over 3 hours and costs around 7 euros. Check out http://www.idos.cz for all possible connections.

3Hi Annie,
Your hotel isn’t really central to lots of things to do considering you only have two days here. There’s not much to see nearby other than the Dancing Building, Manes Gallery and Vysehrad Castle. It’s best to use your time to see the sights if you’ve never been to Prague.
You can grab the #18 tram from nearby the hotel and head to either stop Staromestska or Narodni Trida. Either stop is a good place to jump off and see stuff.
The cheapest way to get to the hotel from the airport is by bus/metro/tram. It’s 26 Czech Crowns and will take you about 45 minutes depending on the time of day. Take the 119 bus from the airport. Get off at the last stop, Dejvicka. Walk a few metres down and go into the metro station. Go down the escalator and take any metro that’s on your right. Take this two stops to Malostranska. Here, get go all the way upstairs, exit left and go to the street. Here you’ll see trams. Take the #18 going toward your right. Take this straight to Albertov and your hotel is nearby.
Otherwise, grab an AAA Taxi from the airport. They have the best service but it will cost you about 500 crowns.
To get to Pec pod Snezkou it’s easiest to take the bus. You can check schedules here: http://www.idos.cz. Once there find the little British flag for the English version.
Have fun!
