Some Good News For Holiday Makers
Friday, September 17th, 2010the news has been recently announced that BAA workers are not actually going to be striking any more which is really good news for the people planning on flying in and out of Britain this summer, at least some good news has come from the industry.
The Problem
The issue was surprise, surprise over money and this time once again staff members were apparently not getting enough of it despite actually making a fair bit more than a lot of people in the country. I think that there is going to be a big problem if this continues to happen because the companies are going to go under, they are already struggling a lot and staff members are really not helping at all.
The Threat
if demands were not listened to when it comes to this it would seem a mass strike would have happened and six of the UK airports would have been closed!. just one of these airports closing causes massive loss of money if six of them were to close for a few days would be a very bad thing indeed. They would have needed to pay all of the airlines that would not be able to operate their normal flights and this is something that no company can really afford to do.
The Solution
Although this was actually solved and all of the workers are to get a very fair 2% pay rise does this mean the public are in danger of actually paying more for their travels now thanks to these people who actually did already get a very fair wage, it is pretty crazy really?
In the end you might be worth going to one of those Family holidays or something like spa breaks as you won’t have to fly anywhere. Of course you could just book your Christmas holidays now and not go away this summer!

Taking a Vacation is tough
Tuesday, October 27th, 2009This is certainly true at the moment where no one is finding it very easy to get around simply because of the recession. There are other means and they are a lot better than you may first think.
The first option on the table is just to wait and save a bit longer to go on that big family holiday. It becomes less annoying if you are on your way to somewhere like Disney World. I for one was saving to head off to Islands of Adventure when Harry Potter opens next year but now am forced to wait a bit longer to wait for Disney to do their magic on Fantasyland.
You could always go to somewhere that is a bit closer to home. Perhaps going a couple of states across or (if living in the UK) head to Dorset or Cornwall to experience the countryside and think about staying in a small house for a couple of weeks. Why save for that big break when you can take a smaller one while you wait.
It is certainly not just the cost of flying and staying in a hotel or villa that gets people bogged down when it comes to going away. The prices of buying new summer gear, sun tan lotion, new cases, books and everything you need for your holiday soon add up so be careful and plan ahead. Another stressful thing is the airport, all of the security there can be very overwhelming indeed.
